United Nations Universal Children’s Day was established in 1954 and is celebrated on November 20th each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children’s welfare.
At school No. 87 in Kelechek, Bishkek, the World Children’s Day was celebrated and the global action #KidsTakeOver was supported along with UNICEF Kyrgyzstan. Schoolchildren held a dance flash mob, lessons on the rights of the child, as well as a “lesson of kindness” about the importance of involving children with disabilities in society.
I would like to share some of the photographs made on my assignment for UNICEF Kyrgyzstan on the Universal Children’s Day 2017.
